The Bregenz Forest

Bezau is the centre of the Bregenz Forest - a little village with ancient houses which are characteristic for this region and a far bit of culture. The village disposes of a variety of petite shops and good restaurants with excellent cuisine.

In the summer you are able to hike or to take a swim in the clear water of the Bregenz-river. For those who are interested in the culture of this region the Schubertiade takes place 2 x per year in Schwarzenberg which is near to Bezau. In the winter you are able to use the many winter hiking trails, cross-country ski runs and a toboggan run, as well as the mountain railways Bezau, which will bring you in a delightful, inviolate mountainous region. Here you are able to make for example a guided walking-tour in the snow with snow shoes beside the large skiing-areas and recover yourself.
